I Got A Response From Warner Bros. Discovery On The Ben 10 Complete Collection DVD Situation, Hey guys, about the Ben 10 Complete Collection DVD box set, and a lot has happened since that come out that I feel the need to do an update on the situation, because a lot of retailers have stopped selling the box set, and I actually got a direct response from Warner Brothers Discovery about the situation.

But before we get into all of that, if you guys don’t know the situation here with the Ben 10 Complete Collection DVD box set, essentially what happened is the box is supposed to come with all of the original series, Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, and Omniverse, as well as Secret of the Omnitrix and Destroy All Aliens, the two animated movies from the original continuity, and basically half of Omniverse is missing from the box set, despite the box set itself saying that all of Omniverse is in it. If you want to hear me go fully in-depth on what’s going on there, card above to that.

Timeline of Events

But like I said before, including a direct response that was sent to me from Warner Brothers Discovery on Friday, and I’m going to go through the timeline of events here before we get into the response that I got. But first and foremost, on Monday, shortly thereafter, Walmart stopped selling the Ben complete collection on their site.

If you go to walmart.com right now, the listing is still there, but they have not sold it since Monday, they are no longer selling the box set, most likely because of the situation that is occurring with the false advertising and whatnot and half of Omniverse not being in there.

A few days later, Target followed suit, the listing is still live, you can no longer buy it. The only major online retailer that you can still buy this box set from is Amazon, although they have slashed the price from $92 to $75. I don’t know if that’s because of the situation at hand or if that’s just, you know, coincidental, who knows.

But what I can tell you is last Tuesday, I called Amazon myself after I got my box set in the mail, and I complained to them about the situation. I was like, “Hey look, this is straight up false advertisement, Warner Brothers Discovery, they lied about what’s in this box set, on the packaging it says one thing, but then when you open it up, 40 episodes are missing.”

And Amazon basically told me that they were going to open a ticket regarding the situation and look into the listing, and what they did for me, and I don’t know if they did this for other people, you can let me know down below, but they straight up gave me a full refund on the box set and told me to keep it. So I currently do have a copy of Ben the Complete Collection on DVD, and I got it for free, because Amazon gave me my money back because of the whole false advertising situation that’s going on here.

Warner Brothers Discovery Response

The big thing though that I’m sure many of you clicked on this to find out is what is the response that you got from Warner Brothers Discovery. Last week, I emailed wh.com, which if you don’t know is the Warner home articlecustomer service email address, basically within Warner Brothers Discovery, and essentially what I told them is, hey look, I got my Ben complete series box set in the mail, it’s missing half of Benad Omniverse.

this is straight up blatant false advertisement, you guys lied about what’s in this box set, can you please send me the 40 episodes that are missing from this box set in the mail, so I can complete what I actually was supposed to get in the first place.

And the response that I got from them reads as follows: dear customer, thank you for reaching out to Warner Brothers Home Entertainment customer support, we are aware of the situation affecting the Ben 10 complete series DVD and will respond to you once a solution has been determined, thank you, Warner Brothers Home article customer service.

Warner Brothers Discovery is very much so aware of the situation at hand regarding the Ben 10 box set, and I just want to say real quick before I get into my thoughts on what’s going to happen from here, as a community, we did a great job on this, right. In my last article, I was saying how, hey, we got to be vocal on this, this is unacceptable.

like I saw Ben 10 News, shout out to them on Twitter, I saw my article reposted on the Ben 10 subreddit by multiple different users. I saw just online a lot of discussion regarding this. I saw other big YouTubers talking about this. In my article from last week, the ink take, shout out to them, curl the artist, he was in the comment section of the article discussing this. I saw post a article about this.

Basically what I’m trying to say is, as a community, we did a great job getting the word out there that, hey, this is not acceptable, this is what’s going on right now with the Benton complete collection, this needs to be fixed. And essentially Warner Brothers Discovery heard us, they heard our complaints.

Like I said before, Walmart stopped selling it, Target stopped selling it, that didn’t just happen out of nowhere, they all heard us being vocal as a community and were like, “Hey, we got to stop selling this, this is not a great situation that’s going on right now.” And yeah, so just quick shout out to everyone, really, that we did a great job getting the word out there on this.

Crisis Management at Warner Brothers Discovery

But essentially what I think is happening right now behind the scenes is Warner Brothers Discovery is discussing, hey, what should we do to manage the situation. Essentially when something like this happens within a company, they go through what’s called crisis management, and essentially they’re trying to basically all come together and be like, hey, we have a bit of a crisis on our hands right now, we kind of messed up.

like what’s the best course of action to come out of this and fix this situation. And I think that’s what’s happening right now internally within Warner Brothers. The email that I got, the response that I got from them, straight up says, we are aware of the situation and will respond to you once a solution has been determined. So, like I said before, they are discussing internally what is the fix, what do we do here.

Potential Solutions

If I had to guess what happens from here, and I’m so surprised I am saying this, cuz a week ago I said they’re probably just going to ignore this situation, but again, we were vocal enough that it’s not getting ignored, they heard our complaints, and they are going to address it in some capacity.

What I think is going to happen from here is one of two things. Number one, they’re going to be like, “Hey, we screwed up, we, you know, misprinted the box set, we are going to, you know, recall everything that’s been sent out there, if you purchased the box set, we’re going to give you a full refund.” And they’re going to revise the text on the box set to say, “Hey, there’s 187 episodes of Ben 10 included in this box set, 40 episodes of Ben 10 Omniverse.” And they’re going to keep selling it as is, but just with revised text. That is one option they could do.

But in my opinion, what I think is the more likely of the two to happen is, I think at this point, given all the complaints that have happened online, given the fact that Warner Brothers Discovery is aware of this situation, given the fact that Walmart and Target have both stopped selling this item, I think what’s going to happen is essentially Warner Brothers Discovery is going to send out an apology saying.

Discovery On The Ben 10 Complete Collection

“Hey, we’re sorry, we made a clerical error, we didn’t realize that 40 episodes were missing from this collection, everybody who bought this collection, please send us an email, we will send you another eight discs with the remaining 40 episodes of Ben 10 Omniverse on them, or something along those lines, or they say, “Hey, we missed the mark, we’re sorry, if you have a box set, please send it back to us, we are recalling it, and we will be sending you a new box set with the entirety of Bentad Omniverse contained within it.”

That’s what I think is going to happen at this point, because the fact of the matter is, I was saying a week ago that, hey, I could see one of brother’s discovery just ignoring the situation, because, oh, we screwed up on a DVD collection, like who cares, this isn’t a big deal, but the fact of the matter is that the community was so vocal about it that it got their attention.

and it got the attention of major retailers like Walmart and Target, even Amazon, their attention’s been grabbed, and I know I heard Groove as well was giving 20% off the box sets, I believe, if you bought it from them, due to this whole false advertising situation.

Future Expectations

So the fact of the matter is, they’re aware of the situation, they’ve realized that, hey, we have to fix this, they straight up said in the email to me that, hey, we are working on a solution at this time, and we will let you know what that solution is once we come to it. I think at this point the only course of action for them going forward is to basically give us.

the rest of Omniverse on DVD, and I think that’s what’s going to happen, it’s just a matter of how do they decide to distribute that, do they decide to recall all the box sets that have been sent out there and send us all brand new box sets with Omniverse inside of it, or do they decide to just send people the remaining discs in the mail and be like, “Hey, here’s a new case for Ultimate Alien and Omniverse that can hold these extra discs that we are sending your way.” One of those things is going to happen, I think at this point.

Like I said, the only course of action for them is to send people the rest of Omniverse, and to basically re-release this box set with the entirety of Ben 10 on it, as it should have been the first time around. We’ll have to wait and see on how long exactly it takes them to address this situation, and I will make another article if I get another response from Warner Brothers Discovery on this situation, but for now, we’re just going to have to wait and see how they decide to handle this.

Community Impact

But I think we did our job, and I think we’re actually going to get the rest of Ben 10 Omniverse on DVD for the first time, like it should have been last Tuesday, because in all honesty, at the end of the day, this should have never happened. I mean, Warner Brothers Discovery is a major company, right, they are huge, they have enough people working within it that something like.

this should never have happened, and again, this does prove to show you, if something like this ever does happen, regardless of what brand it is, if it’s Warner Brothers Discovery, Disney, if it’s Nintendo, Xbox, PlayStation, whatever the case may be, if there’s ever a situation like this where we’re promised something and given something else, we need to be vocal as a community, cuz they do hear us, they hear us, and they will listen, and they will take action because of that.

Closing Thoughts

Anyways, let me know down in the comment section below what you guys think about all this, what do you guys think about the current situation as it stands now that we actually have a response from Warner Brothers Discovery saying that, “Hey, we are working on a solution, and we’ll let you know what that is once we determine it.” I’m amazed that they’re actually doing something, cuz I truly thought they were just going to try to ignore the situation and move on with their day, but no, they heard us, and they’re fixing this thing. If you guys enjoyed this article.
